  • Maintain a list of emotional buttons. If you feel something good - happy/peace/connectedness/love. Pause life and understand how you are feeling it. What is the formula? How did I get there? What was I thinking about it? Who am I with? What did I do? So when life turns bad again, you have a road map to return to a positive emotional state. It becomes a manual for living.
  • Taking personal responsibility for life analogy: Aspire to be the best chef with whatever ingredients life gives you.
  • He deals with chronic pain (head and ear). It taught him empathy and being on with slowing down or having a day just to be in pain and not work. - Wow he is so wise and humble.
  • His criteria for happiness: create, move, learn, connect, appreciate, and contribute. - like this. I will use grow, connect, and appreciate.
