📖 All That’s Left Unsaid by Tracey Lien et al.

Topic: Fiction, Immigration, Social Discrimination | Medium: Audible | Rating: 3.5/5

Another fiction book from the book club.

Interesting perspectives from the lives of Asian immigrants to Australia. From stereotypes to

Australian in multi-culturally forward society.

It's interesting to be the tail-end of such discriminations

Notes:

  1. It’s not a choice, it’s a trap being in a situation
  2. When you’re a minority it feels like there’s not enough space on the table. And you need to fight it out for it.
  3. Everyone has a perspective - parents, children, society. Everyone has an internal monologue which is always different from the person people sometimes see. e.g., the drunk parent longing for a past they left behind, overbearing mother who feels stuck in thier siuation, children who have the pressure to be perfect. It really did create sense of empathy.
